The following list explains what individual terms mean in the context of Bare.ID.

Administrator

The administrator has administrative rights and an administrator account for Bare.ID. He/she uses the Bare.ID user interface to manage user accounts, applications, etc.

Application

The administrator has administrative rights and an administrator account for Bare.ID. He/she uses the Bare.ID user interface to manage user accounts, applications, etc.

User Interface

The user interface allows Bare.ID to be managed in a web browser without local installation on a device. Available at https://app.bare.id.

Group

Users can be grouped together to simplify the assignment of roles and rights.

Instance

A segregated set of user and configuration data, isolated from the data of other instances. Corresponds to one Keycloak realm.

User

Users are given user accounts in a Bare.ID instance by the administrator. Roles can be assigned to them, and they can belong to groups. They access the connected applications securely via Bare.ID.

Role

Roles can be assigned to users and user groups. This gives them a defined set of rights.

Subscription

The realization of a booked tariff. Instances of multiple subscriptions can be managed at the same time in the Bare.ID user interface.
